1st Series Release: Eric Bloodaxe
As the first release in the exclusive Warriors Series, this silver round features Eric Haraldsson, otherwise known as Eric Bloodaxe. This 1 oz of .999 fine Silver Round features this famous Viking credited in the Viking sagas with the unification of Norway. He is most well known for being a warrior and king of Norway who gained his throne through the extermination of his brothers. When Haraldsson’s father died, he killed his half-brothers to gain complete control of Norway. One legend recounts that his surviving younger brother, Hakon, challenged him for control of the kingdom, which Haraldsson gave up without a fight. His fearsome legacy even inspired the naming of the rare and mysterious Bloodaxe gemstone—a homage to his enduring legend.
